How to create Facebook ads?

Step 1:- Choose your Objective:

Log into facebook ads manager,  and select campaigns tab, then click on the “create” button to create a new facebook ad campaign. 

After, you will see 2 options:- 

  1. Buying Type:- Choose Auction or Reservation  
  2. Choose a campaign objective

Facebook offer 6 types of campaign objectives:-

  1. Awareness:- Choose this when you show your facebook ads to the people who are most likely to remember your brand. It is good for Reach, Brand Awareness, Video Views and Store Location Awareness.
  2. Traffic:- Choose when you want to send people specifically to a particular destination like your website, landing page, instagram profile, facebook page, etc. It is good for Link Clicks, Landing Page Views, Messenger, Instagram and Whatsapp, Calls, and Instagram Profile Visits.
  3. Engagement:- Choose when you want to get more messages, purchases through messaging, video views, post engagement, Page likes, event responses or community engagement. It is good for Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp, Video views, post engagement, conversions and calls.
  4. Leads:- Choose when you want to Collect leads for your business. It is good for Instant forms, messenger and instagram, conversions, calls.
  5. App Promotion:- Choose when you’re looking for new people to install your app and continue using it. It is good for app install and app events.

Step 3:- Set Your budget and Schedule

On the adset level you need to choose your adset name, and then choose which page you want to promote. 

After you need to decide how much money you want to spend on facebook ads campaign. You can either choose a daily or lifetime budget. Then, schedule your start and end date.

Step 4:- Target your Audience 

At the time of targeting audience, you will get 2 options:-

First, Creating New Audience From Scratch:- You can do this by selecting location, age, Gender, and explore detailed targeting options which includes demographic, Interest and Behaviour. Also you can select a language also.

Second, Selecting Custom Audience or lookalike audience. These options you can use only when you already created a custom and lookalike audience. 

After you will see the audience indicator option at the right side of your screen which can be used to check the size of your target audience.

Step 5:- Choose your facebook ad placement

Now, scroll down and you’ll see Manual Placements  where you need to choose platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Audience Network) and Placements. Then, Click on “Next” Button.

Step 6:- Select Facebook and Instagram Page 

Under Ad Level, First write your Ad Name then you need to choose your connected facebook and instagram page. After that, Scroll down then you will see ad format i.e. single image or video, carousel and collection.  


Step 7:- Create your Ad Creative  

Under the ad level, when you scroll down you will see the Ad Creative section, Click on “Add Media” Button then choose your ad image or video. Now, enter primary text, headline and description of your ad. Then Scroll down Choose Call to action Button.
